Do I Need to Be Home During a House Wash?

In most cases, you do not need to be home for your house wash.

We understand that taking time off work or rearranging your day isn’t always easy. Our process is designed to be simple, efficient, and hands-off for homeowners.

When You Don’t Need to Be Home

Most standard house washes can be completed without anyone home as long as:

  • We have access to the exterior of the house

  • Outdoor water is turned on

  • Gates are unlocked (if applicable)

  • Pets are secured indoors

  • Windows are closed

  • Vehicles are pulled away from the home

That’s it. Once those basics are covered, our crew can handle the rest.

What We Need From You If You’re Not Home

If you won’t be home during your appointment, we typically just need:

  • Confirmation of the address

  • Any special notes (locked gates, pets, sensitive areas, well water, etc.)

  • Access to a standard outdoor water spigot

  • Windows closed

  • Vehicles moved away from the home

We’ll take care of the setup, cleaning, and final rinse without disrupting your day.

How Communication Works

Even if you’re not home, you’re never in the dark.

Our system automatically sends:

  • Appointment confirmations

  • Arrival notifications

  • Completion notifications

If we notice anything out of the ordinary or have a question during the job, we’ll reach out right away.

When Being Home Is Helpful

There are a few situations where being home can be useful — though it’s still not required:

  • You want to walk the property with us beforehand

  • You have specific concerns or areas you’d like pointed out

  • The job involves something unusual or non-standard

If that’s the case, just let us know and we’ll plan accordingly.

The Bottom Line

You don’t need to take off work or rearrange your schedule for a house wash.

As long as we have access and water, we can clean your home safely and effectively while you go about your day.

If you ever have questions about your appointment or want to be more involved, we’re always happy to accommodate.
